With the warmer weather, comes the need for cooler drinks. This smoothie made with juicy, fresh papaya will have your taste buds cooling off from the first sip! Enjoy it in the morning for breakfast, or for a mid-afternoon snack.
My family loves papaya smoothies. And we’re not the only ones! Everyone I know who tries these smoothies is hooked instantly! With the warmer weather, comes the need for cooler drinks.
"Papaya is a fruit that I never buy, and I purposely bought it for this recipe. The combination of all these flavors are amazing! I froze the papaya so I wouldn't have to add ice and this is one of the best smoothies I've ever had! This is great for breakfast or a snack." -(Natalie)
This smoothie made with juicy, fresh papaya will have your taste buds cooling off from the first sip! Enjoy it in the morning for breakfast, or for a mid-afternoon snack. Papaya is a tropical fruit that tastes like a cross between cantaloupe and honeydew melon. It has lots of nutrients, including vitamin C and potassium, as well as fiber. It’s also high in antioxidants that help fight free radicals in the body.
You can make this smoothie with fresh or frozen papaya, but I recommend frozen because it makes the drink colder and thicker. If you don’t have a blender, you can use an immersion blender to puree the ingredients together.
2 cups fresh papaya, cubed (cantaloupe or mango can be substituted)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 TBSP shredded coconut
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup ice cubes
1 serving vanilla protein
Just one simple step!
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
